A Gloucester man who won $1 million says he knows how he plans to spend some of the money. Roger Duchane won the seven-figure sum playing the “$4,000,000 Monopoly Doubler," a $10 scratch-off ticket. Duchane chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity. He said he plans to use that money to buy a new house. Duchane bought the ticket at 7-Eleven at 50 Gloucester Ave. in Gloucester. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

Edward Fortado won the seven-figure payday by playing the $50 scratch-off game "Lifetime Millions." Fortado chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity. He said he would invest his winnings. Fortado bought the ticket at 7-Eleven at 48 Maplewood Ave. in Gloucester. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
