Woman Killed In Fiery Berkshire County Crash ID'd A 47-year-old woman has been identified as the victim who died single-vehicle crash in Berkshire County after her car burst into flames, authorities said.  Susanna Thomas, of Pittsfield, was found trapped in a firey wreck just after 1 p.m. in the area of 782 and 785 Partridge Road in Lanesborough, the Berkshire County District Attorney said.  Firefighters battled back the flames to reach Thomas inside the Nissan Rogue, but unfortunately, she was pronounced dead at the scene. Griswold Crash Leaves Massachusetts Trucker Dead A 42-year-old Middlesex County, Massachusetts, man died after crashing his truck down an embankment along I-395 in Connecticut. Tim Murray, of Ashby, crashed his Freightliner truck in Griswold, New London County between Exit 24 and 28 around 8:30 a.m. on Thursday, Aug. 8 Construction had closed the southbound right-hand lane of the highway. As Murray merged into the left lane, his 2019 Freightliner hit a guardrail. Murray corrected the truck but not before striking another section of the guardrail.  The truck tumbled down an embankment. Man Struck, Killed On I-91 In Springfield ID'd As 54-Year-Old Police have identified the man who they say was hit by a car and was killed while crossing I-91 South in Springfield Thursday morning, Aug. 8.  Dominic Brad, 54, of Hartford, Connecticut, was hit by a Toyota Corolla just after 2 a.m. near mile marker 4.8, Springfield police said.  Officers shut down I-91 South for hours as they cleaned, cleared, and investigated the crash. The road re-opened to normal traffic around 6 p.m.  Officers are investigating the circumstances that led up to the crash.

Body Found Behind Springfield Park The body of a man was found behind a park in Springfield on Monday morning, Aug. 5.  The man was found around 10:10 a.m. in a wooded area behind Blunt Park. Officers were called to the area to find the body. The man's name was not released.  Police did not disclose the cause of death or if it appeared he was the victim of an attack.  Springfield police are investigating the man's death.
