At 8:10 p.m. on Wednesday, June 17, firefighters responded to a structure fire and immediately encountered visible smoke from the residence, the Denville Volunteer Fire Department said.  A second alarm was promptly tolled, allowing additional resources to come to the scene, firefighters said. Michael Brown, the husband of cheerleading coach Valerie Brown, pleaded guilty to aggravated sexual assault of a minor on Wednesday, June 17, Gloucester County Prosecutor Andrew Jones said. As part of his plea deal, he is expected to be sentenced to 10 years in prison, Johns said.
