A Massachusetts woman recently claimed one of the largest lottery prizes awarded in recent months — and she already knows how she’ll spend it.
Peixia Du, of Quincy, won the $4 million grand prize in the “$4,000,000 Bonus Money” game, a $10 Massachusetts State Lottery scratch-off ticket. Only one grand prize in the game remains.
Du chose to take the lump-sum payment of $2.6 million before taxes rather than the annuity, which would have paid out the entire prize in 20 $200,000 annual installments. She collected her winnings on Thursday, April 17.

Federal investigators are looking into more than 1.4 million Honda and Acura vehicles after reports that their engines could suddenly fail.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has launched an investigation into 1,410,806 Honda and Acura cars, SUVs, and minivans. The probe was opened on Wednesday, Aug. 20, according to NHTSA documents.

Ford is recalling more than 355,000 trucks after discovering a defect that can cause dashboards to go completely dark, the latest in a string of costly safety issues for the US automaker.

A high-end title-washing ring based in central Pennsylvania profited more than $1 million by selling stolen luxury cars from Florida, Attorney General Dave Sunday announced on Wednesday, Aug. 6.
