$1M Lottery Jackpot: Everett Man Prepares For Kids' Future With Winnings An Everett man said he wants to fund his children's education with the $1 million Massachusetts State Lottery jackpot he won earlier this month.  Pedro Chacon, a truck driver and father of three, won the seven-figure sum playing the “$1,000,000 Winning 7,” a $5 scratch-off ticket.  Related: Marlborough Man Wins $2M Lottery Jackpot Chacon chose to take the lump sum payment of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  He bought the ticket at Fine Mart Convenience at 180 Ferry St. in Everett. The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.
