Man Guilty Of Framingham Rape, Knife-Point Robbery: DA A 37-year-old man has been convicted of raping a woman and robbing her at knifepoint in Framingham, authorities said.  Lance McDonald, of Framingham, was convicted on Tuesday, July 24, with two counts of rape, one count of armed robbery, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and wiretap violation, the Middlesex District Attorney said.  McDonald was accused of meeting up with a 42-year-old woman at a Red Roof Inn on April 25, 2022, after responding to an ad for sexual services, authorities said. Victim Of Fatal Somerville Shooting ID'd A 49-year-old man who was found shot on Monday night, July 22, in Somerville, has died, authorities said.  Paul Nolan, of Somerville, was shot just before 10:30 p.m., the Middlesex District Attorney said.  Police were called to Dartmouth Street to reports of a shooting. They found Noal suffering from gunshot wounds, and paramedics rushed him to Massachusetts General Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.  Somerville police ask anyone with information to contact investigators at 617-625-1600 ext. 7250.

15-Year-Old Shot To Death In Lowell Found By Family Member A 15-year-old girl was repeatedly fatally shot in Lowell on Friday evening, June 14, authorities announced.  Lowell police received a 911 call just after 6 p.m. after a family member found the girl inside a Lawrence Street apartment with multiple traumatic injuries to her body, the Middlesex District Attorney said.  Investigators found multiple shell casings near her body.  Officers were searching the apartment Friday night and into Saturday morning.  The investigation is ongoing.

$5,000 Bounty To Find Arsonist Who Torched ATV In Newton Police and fire investigators are asking for the public's help to determine who set an ATV on fire earlier this month, and they're offering a reward for any information leading to an arrest.  Newton firefighters received multiple 911 calls for a fire at 85 Dudley Road around 5:30 p.m. on June 1. When they arrived, flames had consumed a Polaris 900 ATV, which retail for about $3,000.   Arson investigators spoke with witnesses and examined the evidence and have determined the fire was more likely intentionally set.
