A beloved grocery chain from upstate New York has arrived in the Constitution State.
Wegmans officially opened its first Connecticut supermarket in Norwalk on Wednesday, July 23. The 92,000-square-foot store is located at 675 Connecticut Avenue, about a mile from exit 13 on Interstate 95.
The new Wegmans features signature offerings like fresh produce, seafood, bakery goods, a large selection of cheeses, and deli meats. It also offers made-to-order meals like sushi, sandwiches, pizza, and chef-prepared salads.

A recall has been issued for a popular brand of tomato sauce sold at Wegmans supermarkets.
The manufacturer, LiDestri Foods, said 24-ounce jars of Wegmans Italian Classics Diavolo pasta sauce may contain undeclared fish (anchovy).
"People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to anchovy run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.," the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) said.

A Boston woman has claimed her $1 million prize she won from playing one of the biggest games in the Massachusetts State Lottery, officials said.
Davena Allen, of Dorchester, won the Mega Millions prize after the first five numbers of her Quic Pic ticket matched the winning numbers during the game's drawing on Tuesday, Jan. 10.
Allen, who opted for a one-time payment of $1,000,000 (before taxes), collected her winnings at the Massachusetts State Lottery headquarters in Dorchester on Friday, Jan. 20, officials said.
