“A sweet, smiling, confident young man” — that’s how friends and family described a college student from Pembroke, who died while out walking his dogs on New Year’s Eve. Callum Tomas DiCenso had just turned 20 when he suffered a cardiac arrest while walking his dogs, Piper and Kevin, on Sunday, Dec. 31. A college community in Connecticut, alongside many nationwide, has been left reeling after a student of Palestinian descent was one of three shot in what appears to be a hate crime. Tahseen Ali Ahmad, age 20, who attends Trinity College in Hartford, was one of three men of the same age shot outside of a house in Burlington, Vermont on Sunday, Nov. 26, the school announced. Accessible As Toilet Paper: Somerville-Based Company Pilots Free Pad Program
“Public bathrooms provide toilet paper, towels, soap and tissues. Why not pads?” is the question Somerville-based company Egal's founder was looking to solve with a new approach to menstrual products.
