More than two dozen students were hospitalized following early St. Patrick's Day celebrations at a university in Western Massachusetts that featured a dangerous drinking trend that is sweeping the nation. University of Massachusetts Amherst said Amherst Fire handled 28 transports for alcohol intoxication during off-campus gatherings on Saturday, March 4, the school said in a statement. Person Airlifted To Worcester Hospital After Medway Rollover Crash: Police
One person was airlifted to a Worcester hospital following a serious car crash in Medway, authorities said. The crash happened at 105 Holliston Street, which is also at the intersection of Lovering and Coffee streets, around 9:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22, Medway Police Lieutenant Jeffrey Watson told Daily Voice. Dozens of people gathered on Monday, Jan. 9, to protest the officer-involved killing of UMass student Sayad Faisal last week and grieve the loss of a community member that they said had big dreams and was working to make them a reality. College Lacrosse Player From NY Dies At Age 19
A talented Long Island lacrosse player at the University of Massachusetts Amherst has died suddenly at his family's home. Aidan Kaminska, age 19, died on Monday, May 30, at his family's home in Port Jefferson, according to UMass officials. A Port Jefferson High School alumni, Kaminska was a football and lacrosse star at the school where he set a high school record for the number of receptions during a football game on Long Island at 17.
