Uber Driver Knocks Biotech CEO Unconscious Over Service Dog, Lawsuit Claims (Video)
A biotechnology executive is reportedly suing Uber after a video showed one of its drivers punching him in the face while he was holding his service dog.
Bryan Kobel, CEO of United Kingdom-based TC BioPharm, filed the lawsuit on Monday, Aug. 18, according to The Post and Courier newspaper in Charleston, South Carolina.
The suit claims that Kobel was knocked unconscious while waiting for a ride with his girlfriend outside Maison, a French restaurant on Upper King Street in Charleston, on Thursday, April 24.

The US State Department has issued updated travel guidance for one of America’s closest neighbors, citing a mix of safety risks for visitors.
The advisory that went live on Tuesday, Aug. 12 applies to Mexico, where officials say travelers should “exercise increased caution” because of threats that include terrorism, crime, and kidnapping.
It is classified as Level 2 on the agency’s four-tier alert system, which ranges from Level 1 (“exercise normal precautions”) to Level 4 (“do not travel”).

A woman told Boston police she got the ride from hell when she accidentally got into a car she believed was her Uber on Saturday, Oct. 14, and the driver raped her, authorities said.
