100 Infant Deaths Lead To Recall Of Fisher-Price Rock ‘n Play Sleeper
Almost 5 million Rock ‘n Play Sleepers have been recalled after approximately 100 infants have reportedly died in sleepers-related incidents. The product was initially recalled in 2019 after 30 infants were reported to have died in the sleeper, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission. Since the initial recall, 70 more deaths have been reported, eight of which occurred after the recall. About 147,000 bicycles that were sold at Target stores across the United States were recalled due to reports of the handlebars becoming loose, posing a fall hazard. The recall, which includes Pacific Cycle's Pacific Igniter and Pacific Bubble Pop 20" kids’ bicycles, was announced on Thursday, Dec. 22. Parent company Clorox is recalling eight Pine-Sol disinfectant cleaning products due to fears they may contain infection-causing bacteria, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced. To date, testing has identified bacteria in certain recalled products, including those produced between January 2021 and September 2022. Clorox produced approximately 37 million recalled products in that period, the CPSC said. Person Accidentally Shoots Themself Outside Stoughton Target: Police
One person is in the hospital after they appeared to accidentally shoot themself outside the Target in Stoughton, authorities said. Police responded to a call of a person shot in the parking lot of the store at 1 Hawes Way around 6:46 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, Stoughton Police said. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim suffering from a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The firearm was later taken by police and the incident remains under investigation.
