Rowley Man Dies In 3-Alarm Fire, Cause Under Investigation A three-alarm fire claimed the life of a man who became the sixth older adult to die in a house fire in the past three weeks, officials say.  A passerby spotted smoke emanating from a home at 2 Railroad Avenue around 4:10 a.m. on Friday, April 21, according to the Rowley Fire Department.  Firefighters responded and saw smoke and flames coming from inside the home. Man Dies A Day After Being Burned In Methuen House Fire: Fire Marshal A man who was hospitalized Friday night, April 14, after a fire broke out in the bedroom of his Methuen home has died, authorities said.  Investigators believe smoking materials sparked the blaze on the third floor of the triple-decker at 97 Phillips St. Officials did not release the man's name.  Methuen fire crews were called to the house just before 6 p.m. and saw smoke billowing from the third floor.
