Beryl, which made landfall along the Texas coast as a Category 1 hurricane on Monday, July 8, will move into upstate New York and northern New England on Wednesday, July 10, starting late in the afternoon and continuing overnight. Nahant Crews Rescue 5 From Boat Lodged On Rocks Off East Point First responders in Nahant braved severe thunderstorms to rescue five people who were trapped on a boat that ran aground over the weekend, authorities said.  Police received reports of a vessel that was taking on water after crashing into the rocks along the East Point Cliffs around 7:46 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 7, Nahant Police and Fire said.  Firefighters made their way to the lodged boat and safely removed all five individuals.
