A 19-year-old Connecticut woman was killed over the weekend after she crashed into a tree in Hartford County, authorities announced. Tolland County resident Makayla Theriaque, of Vernon, was identified as the victim in a Sunday evening, Aug. 25, crash in Manchester, police said. Police believe the 35-year-old woman who was found dead at a North Andover home this week fatally stabbed her 9-month-old son before turning the knife on herself. Jennifer T. Police say one person is dead and two more were injured in an early morning shooting in a Hindu temple's parking lot in Lowell. Officers were called to the Middlesex Street parking lot just after 4:50 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, to find the three victims suffering from gunshot wounds, the Middlesex District Attorney said. Motorcyclist Killed In Groton Crash ID'd As 27-Year-Old Man
Police have identified the 27-year-old motorcyclist who was killed in a head-on crash earlier this week in Groton. Cody Trudel, of Ayer, died after his bike was struck head-on along Boston Road just after 4:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said. Investigators believe the driver of an oncoming car in the westbound lane veered into his lane. The 20-year-old Townsend driver of that car remained at the scene. Police are investigating the circumstances leading to the crash. No charges had been filed as of Friday afternoon.

A 15-year-old girl was repeatedly fatally shot in Lowell on Friday evening, June 14, authorities announced. Lowell police received a 911 call just after 6 p.m. after a family member found the girl inside a Lawrence Street apartment with multiple traumatic injuries to her body, the Middlesex District Attorney said. Skeletal Remains Found In Saugus Woods
Police are investigating after human remains were found by someone walking their dog in Saugus Sunday morning, Feb. 18. The discovery happened in the woods off David Drive just before 10 a.m. The skeletal remains were taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine how they died and to identify them. Police say they do not believe there is any risk to the public. The Essex County District Attorney's Office did not release any other information about the discovery.
