Samsung Recalling More Than 1M Electric Ranges Following Hundreds Of Reported Fires More than a million Samsung electric ranges are subject to a recall after the company received hundreds of reports of fires that left several people injured and pets dead over the past decade. The Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) issued an alert advising that slide-in electric ranges are subject to the recall due to front-mounted knobs that can be accidentally activated by humans or pets, creating a fire hazard. The total solar eclipse, slotted to occur on Monday, April 8, will follow a path of totality across just 15 states on the eastern side of the United States, including much of western and upstate New York. Dual Coyote Attacks Spark Safety Concerns Among Cohasset Community The Cohasset Police Department is sharing public safety tips after a resident and several pets were attacked by coyotes last week. The first incident involved two dogs that were attacked by seven coyotes in the early morning hours of Saturday, Aug. 27, police said.  The dogs were off-leash when they were approached and attacked by the coyotes, police said. One dog had to be euthanized because of the severity of their injuries.
