$710,000 Megabucks Ticket Sold In North Attleboro
The second Megabucks jackpot this month was won in Massachusetts on Wednesday, May 22, when a lucky Bay Stater picked up a winning ticket worth more than $700,000 in North Attleboro. The ticket was purchased at Pick ‘N Pay, 54 South Washington St. The winner's Quic Pic ticket correctly guessed all six winning numbers. Those are 5-15-16-34-35-36. $5.37M Lottery Ticket Sold In Central Mass
A $5.37 million ticket was sold in Worcester County over the weekend in the Megabucks multi-state lottery. The Quic Pic ticket was sold at Lowe’s Variety and Meat Shop at 255 W. Main St. in Northborough for the Saturday, May 4, drawing. The winning numbers were 4-11-15-26-30-40. The winner's name has not been released. It's unclear if they have attempted to collect their prize yet. They have a year to pick up their check. The store will receive a bonus for the sale. Police in Northborough are asking for the public's help to find a 15-year-old boy who went missing last week. Michael Davis Jr. disappeared around 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 9, and hasn't been seen since, Northborough police said. Lowell High School Trainer Sexually Assaults Student Athletes: DA
An athletic trainer who used his position to inappropriately touch two underage female athletes, officials say. Damon Amato, 32, was arraigned last week on charges relating to three incidents of indecent assault and battery on persons over the age of fourteen, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office announced on Friday, Feb. 3. Amato, of Northborough, was working as an athletic trainer at Lowell High School when he allegedly touched the two teenagers inappropriately. The scheduling conference is planned for Friday, Feb. 17.

A Northborough man is facing up to 50 years in prison after pleading guilty to embezzling over $360,000 from a non-profit organization in Sturbridge, the US Attorney's Office for Massachusetts reports. Kyriakos "Rick" Kapiris, age 36, worked at the non-profit as an IT manager from April 2015 to May 2020.
