Lawrence Man, 27, Drowns At New Hampshire Beach, 2nd Swimmer Rescued: Police
A 27-year-old Essex County man drowned on Tuesday, Sept. 5, while swimming with a friend at a beach in New Hampshire, authorities said. Police later identified him as Wandy Bethancourt-Adames of Lawrence.
A surfer noticed the two men off a Hampton, NH, beach around 7:30 p.m. screaming for help, New Hampshire State Police said.
The surfer pulled one of the men — later identified as Luis Colon-De-Lara, age 28, of Lawrence — to safety. The Good Samaritan then called 911 to report the second man desperately needed rescue.

A 37-year-old man died trying to save his wife and her child who got caught in a river's current, officials said.
Vincent Parr, of Lawrence, died on Sunday, Aug. 20, after jumping into the Swift River in Albany, New Hampshire, to save his wife and her child who got stuck in a part of the river with fast-moving water, according to New Hampshire State Police and a GoFundMe for Parr's funeral expenses. Parr got caught in the current and could not be revived with CPR.

A Norfolk County Man was arrested for his part in a rollover crash that ejected a man from the car and killed him, officials say.
Casey W. Kirsch, age 33, of Weymouth, was arrested and charged with negligent homicide and driving under the influence after he crashed a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, throwing his passenger out of the vehicle and inflicting fatal injuries on Sunday, July 23, according to the New Hampshire State Police.
Police were notified of the crash, which occurred on Interstate 93 South in the town of Sanbornton, New Hampshire, around 1:33 p.m.

A Massachusetts truck driver was injured in a tractor-trailer rollover that closed a Route 16 exit ramp for hours, officials say.
The tractor-trailer, which belongs to Ram Transport Inc. of Allston, rolled over on Wednesday, May 17 around 10:15 a.m. when its driver attempted to merge from Route 16 onto Know Marsh Road, according to New Hampshire State Police.
The driver, identified as Leandro Done Garcia, of Lynn, drove over granite curbing when trying to merge, made an overcorrection, and overturned the trailer, which was filled with 60,000 pounds of garbage.

A man from the South Shore has died in a head-on car crash in New Hampshire, authorities said.
State Troopers responded to the crash on Route 16 in Ossipee, NH, just before 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 10, New Hampshire State Police report.
Investigation revealed that a vehicle going north on Route 16 crossed over the centerline, near Pine River Pond Road, and hit another car going the opposite way.

Two Massachusetts men died within hours of one another in separate drownings in New Hampshire this weekend.
Victor Rosado-Rosario, 19, of Methuen, died just after noon on Saturday, Aug. 21, while swimming at Profile Falls in Bristol, according to WCVB. Rosado-Rosario went underwater near the falls and got trapped behind them. His friends and fellow swimmers pulled him out of the water and performed CPR, but they couldn't save his life.
