26-Year-Old Man Shot, Killed In Lowell; Police Ask For Tips
Lowell police are investigating the shooting death of a 26-year-old Lowell man Tuesday night, Nov. 15, as a homicide following an autopsy report. Investigators are asking for the public's help to ID the shooter. Officers found Odogwu Ganobi bleeding out near the intersection of Chelmsford Street and Maitland Avenue around 7 p.m. and rushed him to Tufts Medical Center in Boston, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said. Ex-Framingham Pastor Charged With Raping, Sexually Assaulting Teenager: DA
A grand jury indicted an 89-year-old former Framingham pastor this week and charged him with raping and sexually assaulting a young boy several years ago, authorities said. Francis Strahan is charged with one count of rape of a child by force and three counts of indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said. 44-Year-Old Sudbury Man Hit And Killed Walking In Acton
A 44-year-old pedestrian was hit and killed Thursday night, Oct. 13, while walking in Acton, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office announced. Kevin Shaw of Sudbury was on Great Road near Brook Street when a 17-year-old driver in a Subaru wagon crashed into him just after 6:30 p.m., officials said. Responders rushed Shaw to Lahey Clinic, where he later died of his injuries. The driver remained at the scene of the wreck. Police are still investigating the causes of the crash. Authorities have not filed charges.

Former Stow Town Treasurer Charged With Embezzling Taxpayer Cash: Police
A 57-year-old Westminster woman is accused of siphoning off tens of thousands of taxpayer money during her time as Stow town treasurer, authorities announced on Friday, Sept. 16. Pamela Landry faces a litany of charges after authorities say she stole between $45,000 and $133,584 from 2017 to 2019, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said. An outside audit of Stow's books in 2019 revealed a shortage of $133,584.39 from the town's bank accounts. Malden Woman, 19, Killed In Wilmington Car Crash: DA's Office
A 19-year-old woman from Malden has died in a car crash in Wilmington, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office reports. Mattie Fitzgerald was killed in the crash that happened in the area of 411 Salem Street around 11:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 13, the office reports. Fitzgerald was found dead inside the vehicle, which was found on the side of the road. Fitzgerald was the only one in the car, the office reports. The crash is under investigation.

A box truck hit and killed a 29-year-old pedestrian as he crossed through a parking lot in Cambridge earlier this week, authorities said. A Massachusetts Correctional Officer was seriously injured after they were attack by an inmate with a metal object at a Shirley prison, officials said. The attack happened in the gymnasium of MCI-Shirley around 2:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31, a spokesperson with the Department of Correction told Daily Voice. The son of the MTBA's Transit Police Chief is being held without bail after he was charged with shooting a Lynn man to death in Everett last month, the Boston Globe reports. Authorities in Lowell are investigating after a 64-year-old woman was found dead inside her home, the Middlesex District Attorney's office said. Lowell Police responded to Linda Gilbert's home on Loring Street around 11:19 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, the office reports. Upon arrival, officers found Gilbert unresponsive and with apparent trauma.
