Beloved Army Veteran, Fiancé Remembered As Loyal Protector After Fatal Saratoga Crash A devastated New York family is mourning the sudden loss of a 32-year-old Army veteran and fiancé who was killed in a motorcycle crash. Cody Groat died following a single-vehicle wreck in Saratoga County, on Swaggertown Road in Charlton, on Saturday evening, June 7, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office. Retired Norwood Firefighter Dies After Long Battle With Heart, Lung Complications The family of a retired Norwood firefighter is asking the community for help as they try to honor the first responder who died from health complications this week.  James "Jimmy" Joseph Flaherty, lovingly known "Big Jim," died after a long battle with heart and lung related illnesses on Monday, May 22, according to a GoFundMe campaign. He was 74.
