80-Year-Old, Dog Died In Fire Caused By Improper Cigarette Disposal: Officials
The identify of the man who was killed in a fire along with a pet dog has been released, along with the cause of the fire, according to officials. Multiple 911 calls brought firefighters to a multi-family home on 9th Avenue around 4:45 p.m. on Saturday Jan. 28, according to the Haverhill Fire Department. Smoke was emanating from the second floor where firefighters found the bodies of a man, who was later identified as Richard Wallace, and a dog, as reported by Daily Voice. 7 Dogs Die In 2-Alarm Central Massachusetts House Fire: Officials
Seven dogs are dead and several more animals were rescued from a burning home in North Central Massachusetts over the weekend, officials said. Crews responded to a two-alarm fire at 47 Mill Street in Pepperell around 8:11 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 20, according to Pepperell Fire Chief Brian Borneman. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke coming from both ends of the home. Brandeis University Student Killed, Dozens Injured In Waltham Shuttle Bus Crash
One student from Brandeis University is dead and dozens more are injured following a shuttle bus crash in Waltham over the weekend, authorities said. The bus was carrying 30 students when it crashed into a tree on South Street in Waltham around 10:32 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office reports. The bus was performing a routine route from the Boston and Cambridge area, with one of the stops being a hockey game at Northeastern University, the office continued.
