The use of an "unsafe" extension cord was the cause of a three-alarm fire at a Malden home that hospitalized two firefighters and displaced nine people, officials said. A Malden woman is facing multiple counts of animal cruelty after nearly 20 dogs who were living in "unsanitary conditions" were rescued from her home, animal rescue officials said. Ex-Malden Firefighter Avoids Jailtime After Admitting To Selling Drugs
A judge ruled this week that a former Malden firefighter who admitted to illegally selling prescription narcotics won't serve any jail time, federal authorities said. Joshua Eisnor, 43, of North Reading, was sentenced to five years of probation and ordered to pay a $2,000 fine and forfeit $900, the amount authorities said he made dealing drugs, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. UPDATE: Wakefield Police said Colby Clerie has been found. Wakefield Police are trying to find a man who went missing from a Wakefield group home more than two weeks ago. Colby Clerie was last seen at the Malden train station around noon on Thursday, Nov. 10, according to WPD.
