A Middlesex County jury convicted two men for the rape of a woman at a party at a Everett hotel in 2020, authorities said on Thursday, July 25.
William Gomez-Rojas, 31, of Chelsea was found guilty of one count of rape and one count of aggravated rape, and Jose Morales Jr., 36, of Malden, was found guilty of one count of aggravated rape, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said.

After several days on the run, a second suspect was arrested and charged with robbing someone at gunpoint as they sat in their car in Randolph, authorities said.
Eliezer Beato, 20, and Shaun Culbreath-Isles, 18, both of Malden, face multiple felonies from the Monday, May 13, robbery, Randolph police said.
The duo is accused of stealing jewelry, a cell phone, and multiple checks from someone at gunpoint just before 1:30 p.m. in the Johnson Road area. No one was injured.

A Boston man who told his family he was headed to Braintree in November 2023 has not been heard from since, and police are asking the public for help in finding him.
John Wesley Young, III, 57, last talked to his family on the phone on Nov. 22, 2023, at around 7 p.m. and told them that he was traveling to Braintree, about 30 minutes away from his hometown of Boston.
Boston police initially shared his name only as John Wesley.

Jury selection has started Wednesday, Jan. 10, in the fatal shooting trial of a 34-year-old Malden man in August 2019.
Carlos Lemon, 27, is accused of pulling up alongside Nelio Barbosa’s car on North Shore Street in Revere on Aug. 2, 2019, and firing multiple shots through his window, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office said.
Surveillance video captured the attack as it happened just after 5 p.m. Lemon was the only person in his car at the time of the shooting, the video showed.

Robert “Bobby” Giardino, 18, died Wednesday night, Dec. 6, after the pickup truck he was driving with three teens veered off the road into the woods, hit several trees, and rolled onto its roof, MassLive reported.
Besides Giardino, another 18-year-old, and two 17-year-olds were rushed to local hospitals. Officials have not released their names or conditions.
