Man Rescued After Plunging Halfway Through Frozen Winchester Pond: Officials
A Winchester pond turned into an icy trap for a man who became halfway stuck in the frozen water until he was saved by firefighters, officials said. Firefighters were called to Winter pond in Winchester to find a man partially inside the middle of the frozen water on Monday, Dec. 26 around 12:50 p.m., Fire Chief Rick Tustin said to Daily Voice. 5 Rescued From Capsized Boat Off Coast Of Lynn
One person is in the hospital after a group of five were rescued from their boat that capsized off the coast of Lynn, NBC Boston reports. The Lynn Fire Department, Lynn Harbormaster and a private boat all facilitated the rescue on the morning of Thursday, Sept. 29, the outlet reports. Massachusetts Father Dies While Hiking Mount Washington On Father's Day
An Andover man who was hiking a trail in the White Mountains on Father's Day has died from his injuries sustained from suffering severe hypothermia. Xi Chen, age 53, was attempting a Presidential Traverse off Gulfside Trail near Mt. Clay when he was "overcome with severe weather conditions," New Hampshire Fish & Game said on Facebook. Chen's wife, Lian Liu, alerted crews her husband needed help around 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 19.
