(Update) Tanker Truck Crash Causes Fuel Spill, Road Closure In Billerica: Police
Update: Officials are investigating the three-vehicle crash involving a tanker truck carrying several thousand gallons of fuel on Route 3 north in Billerica on Wednesday morning, Nov. 15. Evidence, including a dash-cam video, shows that the driver of the tanker wasn't responsible for causing the crash, the Massachusetts State Police said in its latest update. Authorities are also investigating whether either driver of the other two vehicles should be charged or cited. A gas station employee was restocking shelves when he began to feel lightheaded, due to a then-unknown problem that created an oxygen-deficient atmosphere inside the gas station, officials say. A male employee began work at 6 a.m., restocking shelves in the cooler at the Speedway at 66 Prospect Street in Waltham when he began to feel lightheaded and called 911, according to the Waltham Fire Department. One student was hospitalized and multiple students nauseated because of a strange odor reported at a Pentucket middle school in West Newbury. Seventh-grade students in a third-floor science lab reported a strange odor around 10:00 a.m. at Pentucket Middle School on Monday, May 1, according to the public relations team for fire and school districts. Acton Hazmat Teams Respond After Garbage Man Nearly Faint After Inspecting Load: Officials
Hazmat teams in Acton were called out to a potential hazardous materials incident after a trash truck driver nearly fainted after picking up a load on Friday, Jan. 13, officials said. The driver said he picked up trash around 9 a.m. in the area of 100 Nagog Park Drive when he began to feel dizzy and light-headed after inspecting the truck's load, fire officials said. The hazmat team inspected the load and determined it a Tier 1 situation, the lowest and less dangerous. They cleared the truck around 1 p.m. Paramedics took the driver to a local hospital for evaluation.

No issues were detected in Sudbury's air after a 3-alarm fire occurred at a greenhouse this week, authorities said. The fire broke out at storage building on the property of Cavicchio Greenhouses at 110 Codjer Lane around 2:40 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, Sudbury Fire Chief John Whalen reports.
