Community Rallies For Family Of Lynn Mother Who Died Saving Her Son
An Essex County family was devastated when its mother died in an act of "unmatched courage," but hundreds of supporters are doling out support in spades.
Melissa Bagley, a 44-year-old woman married to Everett police lieutenant Sean Bagley, died on Tuesday, Aug. 15, after she jumped into a fast-moving body of water at Franconia Falls in Lincoln, New Hampshire, to save her son, as reported by Daily Voice.
Her children survived, but despite her husband's attempts to save her using CPR, Bagley perished in the tragic event.

A 71-year-old woman pleaded guilty Tuesday, Aug. 15, to driving into and killing one of the family members who owned the Byfield Greenhouse and Garden Center last year, authorities said.
Janet Bach, of Marblehead, was given an 18-month suspended sentence and three years probation after pleading guilty to motor vehicle homicide, the Essex County District Attorney said. An Essex County man scorched his apartment in an attempt to murder his girlfriend who was still inside, officials say.
Edi Diazabakana, of Lowell, was arrested around 11 p.m. on Tuesday, August 8 after he kidnapped his girlfriend and tried to kill her, a plot that was only foiled because police arrived at his apartment because a fire alarm was reported to be going off, according to the Peabody Police Department.

Philip Randazzo, age 50, of Lynn, died on Wednesday, July 19 after a sudden illness, according to his obituary.
