CT State Troopers Smash Allegedly Drunk Driver’s Window
Connecticut State Police had to smash a window and use a taser on a 24-year-old man before charging him with alleged drunk driving. The incident occurred in Middlesex County around 2:30 a.m., Saturday, June 22, on 1-91 northbound in Middletown between the rest area and Exit 20. According to State Police, troopers found a black GMC Sierra pickup with a Massachusetts license plate parked in the right climbing lane and several damaged DOT traffic cones. 2 People Stabbed In Quincy, Police Investigate
An argument between two groups of people escalated into a stabbing in Norfolk County, officials said. Two people were hospitalized after a stabbing in Quincy that occurred around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 23 in Quincy, according to the Quincy Police Department. A 911 call reported a "disorder" and a stabbing victim near 230 Washington Street. Woman Saved After Icy Plunge Off Boston Bridge: Police
A woman who jumped off a bridge with the intent to end her life was brought to safety by firefighters and state police marine units, officials say. Police and fire departments were notified that a woman was in the ocean near North Washington Street Bridge on Tuesday, Feb. 7 around 9:45 p.m., according to Massachusetts State Police. Fire department swimmers jumped to action, finding the woman and bringing her aboard a state police boat. The woman was safely recovered with no injuries other than being severely cold. 4 Workers Overdose At Charles Park Construction Site In Cambridge: Police
Four Cambridge construction workers are recovering after they reportedly overdosed while on the job this week, authorities said. Cambridge Fire, EMS and Police responded to reports of multiple overdoses at a construction site at Charles Park in Cambridge just before noon on Friday, Dec. 9, Cambridge Police report. Upon arrival, crews found the four construction workers conscious and alert. They were taken to local hospitals where they are expected to recover. Police Officers Jump Into Action To Save Woman At South Shore Movie Theater
Three officers from the Braintree Police Department were the real stars of the show when they helped a save a woman's life at move theater last weekend. Officers Chris Horigan, Matt Columbus and Mark Gibbons responded for a report of a woman choking at the AMC Theater in Braintree on the evening of Saturday, June 4, the department said on Facebook. Upon arrival, Officer Horigan located the woman on the floor in one of the theaters and began administering aid.
