Woman Killed In Head-On Route 117 Crash In Lincoln
A woman was killed Thursday morning, April 4, in a head-on collision in the Middlesex County town of Lincoln, authorities said. The crash happened a little after 9 a.m. on Route 117 near Sweet Bay Lane when a Jeep Wrangler collided with a Chevy Silverado, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office said. Paramedics rushed the woman behind the wheel of the Wrangler to Emerson Hospital, where she died of her wounds. The truck driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. A driver going the wrong way on a Middlesex County highway led to a head-on collision earlier this week that claimed the life of a 25-year-old Somerville woman will face charges in the fatal crash, police said. The head-on crash happened just before 12:45 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, on Route 2 in Littleton. A road to a senior living facility is closed and its residents removed while officials seek to determine what caused high levels of carbon monoxide to leak in the building, officials say. 60-Year-Old Man Accused Of Crashing Into, Killing Acton Doctor: DA
Police are investigating the death of a 66-year-old Acton doctor who was run over and killed as she walked off of her driveway earlier this week, authorities said. Irene Durand-Bryan was a licensed psychologist with offices in Concord and Lowell, according to her obituary. Police said a Ford van struck her around 11:45 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 23, at her Concord Road home near Alcott Street. A 34-year-old man ran over a state trooper and crashed into multiple cruisers during an early morning chase that started in Methuen and ended with a wreck in Lowell, authorities said.
