One picked up a lottery ticket worth $1 million, while two more collected $100,000 prizes.  The million-dollar ticket was sold at the Pride Station at 13 N. Main St. in East Longmeadow. The payday came playing the $20 "100X Cashwood" scratch-off game.  The store will get a $10,000 bonus for the sale.  The winner chose to remain anonymous. $1M Lottery Jackpot: Springfield Man Has Plans For His Big Win A Springfield man who won $1 million in the state lottery said he already knows the first thing he will buy with the money.  Kenneth Bernard won the six-figure prize playing the “$2,000,000 50X Cashword” $10 scratch-off game.  He chose to take the lump sum of $650,000 (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  Bernard said he plans to buy a new car with the money. He didn't specify what kind.  He bought the ticket at Pride Station & Store at 13 N. Main St. in East Longmeadow. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

Missing Canoer, 20, Found Dead In Western Mass Pond After Days Of Searching After a nearly five-day search, the body of a 20-year-old canoer who went overboard in Westfield's Pequot Pond was found on Sunday, June 25.  The East Longmeadow man was on the pond with two friends on Wednesday night, June 22, when it capsized, tossing them all into the water.
