One student was hospitalized and multiple students nauseated because of a strange odor reported at a Pentucket middle school in West Newbury. Seventh-grade students in a third-floor science lab reported a strange odor around 10:00 a.m. at Pentucket Middle School on Monday, May 1, according to the public relations team for fire and school districts. Firefighters rescued a paraplegic man after multiple calls reported a house on fire and the sound of gunshots, officials say. A fire broke out on 590 Main Street in Stoneham around 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, rendering the house a "total loss," the Stoneham Fire Department told Daily Voice. A four-day search for a 6-year-old boy who was swept into the Merrimack River has come to a close after a kayaker found a body authorities believe to be his. Massachusetts State Police announced that a body believed to be that of 6-year-old Mas DeChhat was located in the Pipers Quarry area of the river on the morning of Sunday, June 12.
