Despite his preparations and experience, a hiker suffered serious injuries after falling on a popular hiking trail, officials say. Andrew Capraro, of Canton, was hiking the Flume Slide Trail in Lincoln, New Hampshire on Monday, June 12 when he slid and fell 15 feet, suffering serious injuries, according to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department Law Enforcement Division. Canton Man Who Swindled $1.1M From Lonely 'Mugus' Gets Over 4 Years In Prison: Feds
A 43-year-old man who admitted to preying on vulnerable and lonely people online to swindle $1.1 million from them was sentenced to more than four years in federal prison, authorities said. Mark Arome Okuo, of Canton, pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit wire fraud and bank fraud and obstruction of justice earlier this year, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said.
