21 Shots Fired In Burlington Apartment Shoot-Out, Police Investigate
A stolen car was used in a shootout in Middlesex County, officials said. A shooting was reported at the Avalon apartment complex at 1 Arboretum Way in Burlington in the early morning hours of Wednesday, August 2, according to the Burlington Police Department. Police arrived at the scene around 3:45 a.m. and determined that no one had been injured in the shooting. A Middlesex County judge ruled on Friday, June 23, that a Burlington police officer used appropriate force when she shot and killed a 42-year-old man last year, Burlington Police Officer Robert Reyes and his partner Aurise Miedico were dispatched to the home of Paul Courtemanche, 42, on Jan. 23, 2022, after he called 911 to say he "didn't know how he was feeling." School officials and police are increasing their safety procedures after a student brought a knife to a Burlington middle school. A student found the kitchen paring knife at Marshall Simonds Middle School around 8:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 1, Burlington Police Chief Thomas Browne and Superintendent of Schools Eric Conti report. Burlington Police Seeking Car And Driver That Struck Police Officer
The Burlington Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a vehicle and driver that recently struck a police officer. The officer was struck by they car while working a construction detail in the area of 26 Beacon Street shortly after 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 14, police said.
