Genesis Quezada was pulled over for speeding and multiple lane control violations while heading north on Interstate 93 in Windham, according to New Hampshire State Police. But when approached by the police officer she put her 2018 Honda Accord back into drive and initiated what a car chase.
Quezada, who was believed to be driving while impaired, continued to lead police in a chase despite multiple state troopers following her car with emergency lights and sirens on.
The chase continued until Quezada, the car's lone occupant, lost control of the car near exit eight in the city of Manchester and hit the guardrail on the right side of the road. She attempted to keep driving, but her car was damaged and unusable.
Quezada was then arrested and transported to the Elliot Hospital in Manchester, where medical staff determined that she had no serious injuries.
The driver was determined to have two warrants out for her arrest out of Salem Court. She was transported to the Rockingham County Jail, where she was held on the preexisting warrants.
Quezada is facing the following charges from the car pursuit incident:
- Aggravated driving while intoxicated
- Reckless conduct
- Disobeying an officer
- Operating after suspension
- Reckless operation
- Multiple other charges related to traffic lane violations
A $2,000 cash bail was issued for Quezada due to her active warrants.
She is scheduled to be arraigned on May 19, 2023 in Derry Court for the charges relating to the car chase.
