Daniel Hakim, age 36, of North Andover, was arrested on 32 counts of aggravated indecent assault and battery on a child under 14 on Wednesday, June 15, Salem Police said.

The accusations stem from Hakim's time at Saltonstall School from 2015 to 2018, police said. Hakim was immediately suspended when the district became aware of "instances of improper conduct," according to police.

The Department of Elementary and Secondary Education then revoked Hakim's teaching license in 2020 and a formal investigation into his actions was launched in 2021. Hakim is expected to be arraigned on Thursday, police said.
