A day after learning of ballerina Michaela DePrince's sudden death, her family has revealed that her adoptive mom passed away within the following 24 hours, according to a Facebook post, and confirmed by the family to Daily Voice on Saturday, Sept. 14. US Army Sgt. Shane Finnegan said he doesn't like the nickname members of his unit gave him during his 10-month deployment to Iraq last year even if he's earned it honestly. The "Cat Daddy," who lives in Monson, picked up the moniker after he adopted a feline friend he made during his first deployment. Animal Hoarding: 60 Boxer Dogs Seized From Mass Home Taxing Help Networks
The MSPCA is asking for help after the group took in 60 boxers from a home in Essex County earlier this week, making it one of the largest seizures in the group's history. Police said officers removed the dogs from a home on Locust Grove Road in Merrimac on Tuesday, June 11, after receiving reports of animal hoarding and overcrowding.
