At 11:52 p.m., Kyle Thompson was operating a Chevrolet passenger vehicle in Washington Township when he lost control, ran off the roadway to the right, struck multiple trees and overturned, Christopher Postorino, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said. At 9:59 p.m., officers responded to James Street and Ridgeway Place after a driver was traveling westbound on James Street and turned onto Ridgeway Place, striking the 20-year-old, Lakewood police said. The driver remained on the scene, contacted emergency services and displayed no signs of impairment, police said. The 20-year-old was found unconscious and was transferred to a nearby hospital where they remain in critical condition, police said.
