Sheriff IDs Man Killed In Route 9 Crash In Garrison Authorities have released details in the Friday, Jan. 17 crash along Route 9 that left one person dead in Putnam County. Norton Segarra, 74, of Beacon, NY was heading south when he veered into the northbound lanes and was struck by a tractor-trailer driven by a 60-year-old Milford, CT man around 1:30 p.m. near Route 403 in Garrison, County Sheriff Kevin J. McConville said. Segarra was pronounced dead at the scene near Philipstown, and the driver of the truck was taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.   The roadway remained closed until 9…

North Bergen Mayor Nicholas Sacco said that the dump truck going down the hill on 69th Street lost control, crossed into oncoming traffic, and struck a tractor trailer.  The impact of the crash sent both vehicles into the building.
