Connecticut 17-Year-Old Killed In Western Mass. Crash A Connecticut teenager was killed in a Western Massachusetts crash on Sunday, July 28, authorities said.  The 17-year-old girl, from Enfield in Hartford County who was not identified, died just after the 2 p.m. wreck on North Blandford Road in the town of Blandford, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.  Blandford is about 45 minutes west of Springfield.  Authorities have not released details about what led to the crash or how many vehicles were involved. Teen Accused Of Killing Man In Western Mass While Out On Bail: DA The 19-year-old accused of killing a 38-year-old Hampden County man last month was out on bail at the time of the fatal shooting, authorities said.  Luis Rodriguez, of Chicopee, is charged with murder in the July 9 slaying of Dexter Ortiz, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said. Teen ID'd As Person Killed In Springfield Shooting Police have identified the 19-year-old man who died after being shot on Sunday, July 14, authorities said.  Damontey Williams, of Springfield, was found shot just before 11 p.m. in the 100 block of Massasoit Street after a ShotSpotter alert sent police to the area, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.  Responders rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, where he died of his wounds.  Springfield police are investigating the shooting. Authorities ask anyone with information on the killing to contact detectives at 413-787-6355.

Man Busted In Fatal Shooting In Springfield A 62-year-old man has been charged with the fatal shooting over the weekend in Springfield, authorities said.  Juan Rivera, of Springfield, was charged with murder in the Saturday, June 1, slaying, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.  Police were alerted to the fatal shooting just after 10:15 p.m. in the 400 block of Central Street after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.
