$5M Lottery Jackpot: Western Mass Winner Has Big Plans For Newfound Fortune
A Berkshire County woman who claimed a $5 million Massachusetts State Lottery jackpot said she wants to buy a new car with her winnings. And she should get a good deal since she works for the dealership. Kathy Burgess, of Laneborough, won the massive payday by playing the $20 scratch-off game "$5,000,000 100X Cashword." He chose to take the lump sum payment of $3.25 million rather than the annuity. Burgess bought the ticket at Price Chopper's Market 32 at 555 Hubbard Ave. in Pittsfield. The store will get a $50,000 bonus for the sale.

It was a lucky weekend for one Bay Stater after they collected a $100,000 check in the Massachusetts State Lottery. They won the money after correctly guessing all five numbers in the Mass Cash drawing. Those are 7, 12, 17, 26, and 29. It was the biggest jackpot on Sunday, June 10.
