Boston Hot Dog Company Closing In Salem; Chef-Owner Teases New Restaurant
The Boston Hot Dog company will close its doors following the holiday weekend, but that's not the end for chef-owner Mike Denk. He has some cheesy plans for the location. Denk announced his decision to close the 60 Washington St. restaurant in a lengthy Facebook post, calling the decision to close after Monday, May 27, "bittersweet." Knife-Wielding Man Shot By Police In Malden Following Armed Robbery: DA
Authorities are investigating a non-fatal police shooting in Malden after an officer wounded a knife-wielding armed robbery suspect on Wednesday morning, officials said. Dominique Matthew Long, 31, of Malden, was arrested following the shooting and will be charged with armed robbery, assault and battery, three counts of assault with a dangerous weapon, and intimidation of a witness, the Middlesex District Attorney's Office said. Three teenagers have been arrested and charged with attacking another group of teens during a robbery at an MBTA station, authorities said. Aidan McGuinness, 18, and two 17-year-olds, all from Quincy, are accused of the May 10 robbery at the Kenmore Square station, the Suffolk County District Attorney said. Irish Firefighter Indicted In Rape Of 28-Year-Old At Boston Hotel: DA
A 37-year-old firefighter from Dublin accused of raping a woman during a Saint Patrick's Day event was arrested attempting to flee the country, authorities said. Terence Crosbie was charged last week with rape, the Suffolk County District Attorney said. A 28-year-old woman told police at Massachusetts General Hospital that she had been sexually assaulted at the Omni Parker House early on March 15, the prosecutor said. Support for Joey Calcavecchia, better known as The Roaming Foodie on TikTok, continues to grow as more than 1,500 people have donated to a fundraiser to help him following a violent crash on I-93 earlier this week in Andover. Calcavecchia, of New Hampshire, was involved in a four-car pileup just before 1 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14, on I-93 northbound near exit 42, state police said.
