Ex-Boston Children's Anesthesiologist Traded Child Rape Videos In Messages: Court Docs
Federal investigators said a former anesthesiologist fellow at Boston Children's Hospital traded child pornography on a messaging app to get access to other videos and photos of children as young as infants being sexually abused by adults. Christopher Sheerer, 35, of Boston, is charged with one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of possession of child pornography, Homeland Security investigators said. New York Man Busted Driving To See Western Mass Child He Met Online: DA
A 62-year-old New York man was arrested on Thursday, May 30, in Berkshire County as he was on his way to meet a teenager he was speaking with online, authorities said. David Stypa was charged with two counts of disseminating obscene material to a minor and attempting to commit a crime, the Berkshire County District Attorney's Office said. He was ordered held on a $100,000 bond. Investigators said Stypa was speaking with the Pittsfield teen — who was younger than 16 — on multiple platforms. Police are still investigating. 30-Year-Old Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Springfield Shooting
Police have identified the man who was killed in a shooting earlier this month in Springfield. Aaron Cabrera, 30, of Ludlow, was shot around around 10 p.m. on May 21 in the 0-100 block of Fort Pleasant Avenue, Springfield police said. Police were alerted to the fatal shooting after receiving a ShotSpotter alert. They found Cabrera bleeding from a wound, and paramedics rushed him to Baystate Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, police said. Investigators are still searching for the shooter. Springfield police have arrested five men in a sweeping prostitution sting earlier this week, authorities said. The sting was part of a neighborhood quality-of-life initiative after several people complained of seeing sex, drugs, and violence taking place in broad daylight in the South End of the city, police said.
