Kiryas Joel Man Killed When Juvenile Backing Vehicle Into Driveway Runs Over Him, Police Say A Hudson Valley man was killed when a juvenile backing an SUV into a driveway accelerated and hit the victim. The incident occurred in Rockland County at 8:55 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the village of Kiryas Joel in the town of Monroe. According to Trooper Steven Nevel of the New York State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that a 13-year-old was backing a 2024 Honda Odyssey into the driveway of a residence.
