Man In Wheelchair Hit, Killed In Western Mass Crash A 76-year-old, wheelchair-bound man was killed over the weekend after being hit in a Hampden County crosswalk.  The man, who was not identified, was crossing Kellog Street in Westfield around 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 8. when he was struck, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said.  Paramedics took him to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died of his wounds, police said.  The driver of the car remained at the scene.  The crash remains under investigation.

A 2007 Yamaha motorcycle was traveling on the southbound Exit 35A off-ramp when it veered into the left shoulder and hit a metal guardrail, according to Connecticut State Police.  Both the operator, a 33-year-old Manchester man, and the passenger, identified as Valerie Ann Eaton of Hartford, were ejected from the motorcycle. Western Mass. Man ID'd As Victim In Motorcycle Crash A 70-year-old man was killed over the weekend after crashing with a truck in Hampshire County, authorities said. James Lis, of Three Rivers, died on Saturday, Aug. 24, in a crash in Hadley, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said on Monday.  Lis was driving his motorcycle north on East Street when he crashed with a truck driving south that was turning into a driveway around noon.  Paramedics took him to Baystate Medical Center, where he later died.  Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.

Man Struck, Killed On I-91 In Springfield ID'd As 54-Year-Old Police have identified the man who they say was hit by a car and was killed while crossing I-91 South in Springfield Thursday morning, Aug. 8.  Dominic Brad, 54, of Hartford, Connecticut, was hit by a Toyota Corolla just after 2 a.m. near mile marker 4.8, Springfield police said.  Officers shut down I-91 South for hours as they cleaned, cleared, and investigated the crash. The road re-opened to normal traffic around 6 p.m.  Officers are investigating the circumstances that led up to the crash.

Teen ID'd As Victim In Fatal Springfield Crash On I-91 Authorities in Hampden County have identified the victim of a fatal crash last week on I-91 as a 15-year-old boy.  State police were called to the crash site around 4:30 p.m. near northbound Exit 5 on July 2, authorities said.  Police and paramedics provided medical aid at the scene of the crash, state police said. It's unclear if the teenager died at the scene or a nearby hospital.  The boy's name will not be released because of his age.
