Kids Found Miles Away From Home In Jamaica Plain: Police Three missing children from Stoughton were found safe in Boston’s Jamaica Plain neighborhood after state and local police brought on an aggressive campaign to locate them.  Stoughton Police sent out a statewide bulletin Friday, night, Nov. 22, that said Ashley Vazquez, 29, had taken her three children — ages 10, 9, and 8, authorities said. Police ID'd the man as Joaquin Soares of Stoughton.  Original: An 82-year-old man remained hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Stoughton on Thursday evening, Aug. 22, authorities said.  A car crashed into the man just before 6:15 p.m. as he walked along Central Street, between Turnpike and Lincoln streets.  Paramedics rushed the man to Boston Hospital, where he remained Friday.  Authorities did not release the man's name or update his condition. Stoughton Man ID'd As DOT Worker Hit, Killed Picking Up Debris On Mass. Highway Authorities have identified the 57-year-old Massachusetts Department of Transportation worker who was hit and killed Saturday night, July 27, while picking up debris along Route 24 in West Bridgewater.  David "Spanky" Sousa, of Stoughton, was struck around 9:30 p.m. while working on the side of the northbound lane near Ext 28B, The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said.  Sousa is a husband and father who has served as a former Stoughton Select Board chairman.  The driver who struck him remained at the scene, the prosecutor's office said. Stoughton Police Investigating Shooting Stoughton Police Investigating Shooting
Stoughton Police Investigating Shooting A 31-year-old man was shot in the leg late Wednesday night, and police are asking for the public's help identifying the shooter.  Police were called to 40 Stagecoach Road around 10 p.m. where they met a man sitting on the ground with a gunshot wound, Stoughton police said. The man was not a Stoughton resident.  Paramedics took him to Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton with non-life-threatening injuries.  Police say there is no ongoing threat to the community.  Detectives ask anyone with information on the shooting to contact investigators at 781-344-2424.
