The man was struck by a train on 2nd Street around 2:50 p.m. on Monday, March 13, Superintendent of Transit Police Richard Sullivan told Daily Voice.
He was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
Initial investigation suggests crossing safety/warning equipment was working properly at the time of the accident, Sullivan added.
Shuttle busses were replacing service and Passengers were told to consider alternate travel options as a result.
