The family of Sidney Mae Olson said she was a "bright-eyed, energetic girl with springy curls." The young girl was struck as she and a family member crossed Elm and Main streets around 5:15 p.m., the Essex District Attorney's Office said. The crash involving a tractor-trailer and an SUV occurred on Route 146 North near exit 6 in Uxbridge at 12:38 p.m. on Thursday, July 21, Massachusetts State Police said.  Police said the SUV went off the road, down the embankment and into the woods.
