Man Found Dead After Fire Breaks Out At Medford Homeless Encampment (Update) Local and state officials are investigating after a person died from a fire in Medford, authorities said. Medford Fire responded to the area of 295 Middlesex Avenue, behind the old Crunch Fitness, around 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 30, according to State Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy fire coming from a wooded area behind the building.  Firefighters also found an adult male who was dead inside the debris of what appeared to be a homeless encampment, Ostroskey added. The man's body was taken by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner which …
