2 Springfield Firefighters Hurt, 7 People Displaced After 3-Alarm Fire (Update) Two Springfield firefighters were injured battling a three-alarm blaze that displaced seven people from a multi-family home in South End on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 30, authorities said.  The department reported that the fire at  38 Acushnet Ave. began just before 4 p.m. though investigators haven't determined what sparked the blaze.
