Dog Shot Dead By Boston Police While Serving Arrest Warrant In Mattapan: Police A Boston Police Officer shot and killed a dog that bit them while serving an arrest warrant in Mattapan this week, the department reports.  The incident happened at 28 Michigan Avenue1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19. After officers placed the suspect into custody, one officer shot at two dogs after one bit an officer. A second officer also fired their weapon striking both dogs, police said.  The officer who was bit was taken to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries, as was the officer who shot at the dog, in accordance with procedure related to discharging a …
