Plainclothes Officer Shot Sitting In Car Near Boston School Playground: Police A Boston police officer somehow escaped injury after officials said a man shot him multiple times over the weekend while he sat in his car near an elementary school.  Alberto Polanco, 20, of Roxbury, is charged in the alleged attack just after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, the Boston Police Department said.  The officer was in his unmarked patrol car at 43 Waumbeck Street near Trotter Elementary School when police say Polanco walked over and started firing. Woman Suffered Life-Threatening Injuries In Boston Shooting: Report A woman was in critical condition following a shooting in Boston Thursday afternoon, Sept. 1, authorities said.  The shooting happened on Savin Street in Roxbury. Boston police say they have a person of interest in custody, but officials have not released any information on their identity, CBS Boston reported.
