Teen Who Injured 84-Year-Old At MBTA Station In Boston Held For 60 Days: DA
A 15-year-old girl who police say injured an 84-year-old man in an attack at an MBTA Station on Tuesday, Nov. 14, has been ordered held for 60 days, authorities said. The girl, whose name was not released because of her age, was out on $500 bail for a charge of unarmed robbery, the Suffolk County District Attorney said. A judge revoked that bail for 60 days when she was charged with the attack and charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (shod foot) on a person over 65, officials continued. Medford Man Hit Victim With 'Some Instrument' At Boston's South Station: TPD
A 38-year-old Medford man was arrested for attacking another person with an instrument at a bustling MBTA station in Boston, authorities said. Hocine Lounici was arrested after officers responded to a report for an assault in progress in the lobby of South Station around 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, Transit Police said. Upon arrival, officers found one male victim with a laceration to his face and witnesses identified Lounici as the attacker. A Cambridge taxi driver is being held in lieu of $20,000 bail for allegedly sexually assaulting a woman in the back of his cab at an MBTA station parking lot over the weekend, authorities said. Bereket Meshesha, age 44, was charged in connection with the assault that happened in the Beachmont station parking lot in Revere in the overnight hours of Saturday, Sept. 10, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office said. A 30-year-old Lawrence man had a ghost gun in his backpack when he attacked two construction workers for no reason at an MBTA station earlier this week, police said. Jose Lara was trespassing at a construction site near South Station just before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, July 12, MBTA Transit Police said.
